International Week 2025
The 5th edition of UFES International Week held from 20 to 24 October 2025, had the following subject: "Internationalisation: connecting knowledge, cultures and languages" and consisted of a varied programme, with in-person and online activities taking place across all the University’s campuses.
The event fostered reflection and initiatives aimed to promote the internationalisation of UFES, bringing together students, academic staff and support staff for opportunities to learn, exchange ideas and celebrate cultural diversity.
As in previous editions, the week included a general opening ceremony and specific activities designed for different sections of the academic community. In 2025, the thematic focus and formats of these activities were determined through a participatory process, using surveys conducted amongst the target audiences themselves. One of the highlights of the programme was the International Fair, held on 21, 22 and 23 October, from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., in a tent set up in front of the University Restaurant on the Goiabeiras campus.
The fair has established itself as a space for cultural exchange and learning, bringing together international students and refugees, who showcased and sold food, handmade crafts and other items representative of their countries of origin.
The university community participated actively in the activities, which once again reinforced UFES’s commitment to internationalisation and to celebrating cultural diversity on its campuses.
