International Rankings

Ufes takes part in the main international university rankings each year. Which are:

Times Higher Education (THE)

THE World University Rankings

This ranking evaluates universities according to five pillars: teaching (30%), research (30%), citations (30%), industry income (2.5%) and international outlook (7.5%).

At the end of 2019, Ufes joined the list of the best universities in the world according to the World THE 2020, reaching the position of 1001+, and doing it again the following year, when it remained in that same position.

THE Latin America

In the ranking that only considers Latin American universities, Ufes reached the mark of 91-100 in the 2019 ranking, 101-125 in the 2020 ranking and 69 in the 2021 ranking.

THE Impact

At the THE Impact of 2020 and 2021, which considers the university's achievements in support of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), Ufes reached the position 101-200. In Brazil, it was the second best university in this ranking in 2021.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Rankings

The QS evaluates universities according to Academic Reputation (40%); Employer's Reputation (10%); Faculty/Student Ratio (20%); Citations (20%) and International Faculty/Student Ratio (5%).

QS Latin America

In the QS Rankings of Latin America, Ufes reached the mark of 118 in the 2018 ranking, 109 in the 2019 ranking, 114 in the 2020 ranking, 113 in 2021 and 111 in 2022.

QS BRICS

In the QS Rankings that only considers the BRICS countries, the university was ranked 201-250 in the 2018 edition and 221-230 in the following edition.
